RETURNS & REFUNDS
Of course, we hope you love your new MOTTE product! If this is not the case or something doesn't fit, you can naturally return or exchange your order within 14 days of receipt.
1. Voluntary return policy:
You can return all items to us within 14 days of receipt. Please note that for hygiene reasons, we can only accept unworn, undamaged, and clean items in their original condition. As a small, independent label, we unfortunately cannot cover the costs for return shipping. The direct return costs are borne by you as the buyer.
Exchange: Would you prefer a different print? No problem! Simply contact us in advance by email so we can reserve your desired item for you.
How your return works:
1. Send us a short email to mottecollective@gmail.com with your order number and the reason for the return.
2. Pack the items securely (preferably in the original box).
3. Send the franked package to our return address (see below).
4. Tip: We strongly recommend booking return shipping as an insured package with tracking. Since you, as the buyer, bear the transport risk for the return journey, you are on the safe side if the post office loses a package.
2. Damage, defects & problems:
Please check your order immediately upon receipt. If your item is damaged or has a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 48 hours at mottecollective@gmail.com with your order number and 1-2 clear photos of the defect. If there is a legitimate production error, we will of course cover all costs for return shipping and ensure a quick repair or replacement.
3. Refunds:
Once your return has been received and checked by us, we will credit the corresponding amount to you within 14 days. The refund will be made automatically using the payment method you used for the original order.
4. Legal right of withdrawal for consumers in Germany
Cancellation policy/Right of withdrawal:
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (MOTTE, Nadine Aurin-Liew, Töpchiner Weg 159, 12309 Berlin, E-Mail: mottecollective@gmail.com) by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You can use the sample withdrawal form listed below, which is not mandatory.
To comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient for you to send the notification of the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the expiry of the withdrawal period.
Consequences of withdrawal:
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you all payments we have received from you, including the delivery costs (with the exception of the additional costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this repayment, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged fees for this repayment.
We may refuse repayment until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.
You must return or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any case no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the expiry of the period of fourteen days. You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.
You only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that is not necessary for checking their condition, properties and functionality.
